New system, new member portal and new websites from September 1st

From September 1, Gramo will implement a new rights management system and launch an updated member portal and new websites. Overall, this will strengthen the quality and traceability of the calculation and payment of remuneration, and make it easier to keep track of repertoire, follow rights requirements and find information.

New member portal

The member portal ("My Page") will get a new user interface, with a new design, new menu structure and better search and filter options. Much will be recognizable, but it will be easier to find.

The content is the same as before. The portal displays information about rights holders and roles, repertoire, rights claims and payments.

The system change does not change rights, repertoire or remuneration that has been earned. Rights holders who use My Page will receive separate information by email about what is happening in the transition.

New websites

We are also launching a new version of gramo.no, with better information and guidance and a clearer path to self-service. The websites and the member portal have been given a common visual expression, so that the transition between information and services is more seamless.

The system behind the member portal

The member portal is the entrance, but the work is done by the system behind it. It receives and processes playing time reports, connects recordings to the correct rights holders, calculates fees, carries out settlements and makes individual payments.

What the new system provides

Gramo's new rights management system ("Apollon") replaces the proprietary solution from 2015 and is currently used by ten of Gramo's sister organizations in Europe. We are thus moving from a uniquely Norwegian solution to a proven European industry system, with joint development across countries and faster implementation of new standards.

The background to the system change is described in more detail in the article New and robust rights management system in 2026 .

The way forward

The system change is a long-term boost for Gramo, and September 1 is the first milestone. The system is fully operational from today, with a new member portal and new websites. At the same time, we continue to build further throughout the autumn. The next settlement and payment will be carried out in December 2026, in the new system.

We are connecting to the international systems for the exchange of repertoire and rights information. We are expanding the functionality of the member portal, and we are continuing to work on content and guidance on the websites.

The transition will be done in stages, ensuring that historical data is transferred correctly and traceability is maintained, providing a predictable and secure transition.
